THE BUSINESS

Study Quest exists to give teenagers a physical, visible reason to put their phone down — and to hand that decision back to them, not their parents.

VISION

A generation of students who finish their homework without the nightly battle over phones — where "just five more minutes" doesn’t turn into an hour of scrolling, and staying off your phone feels like progress in a game, not a punishment handed down by mum and dad.

VALUES

image5.png

PROGRESS OVER PUNISHMENT

Gamify focus, don’t police it (this is why we rejected names like "Study Vault" and "Focus Lock" during testing — they tested as controlling, not motivating).

image4.png

CUSTOMER-FOCUSED
DESIGN

Built from real interviews and observed study sessions, not assumptions.

image6.png

TRUST BETWEEN PARENTS AND TEENS

Replace nagging with a shared system.

image7.png

WILLINGNESS TO PIVIOT

We dropped our original app-only idea once observation showed willpower alone fails.

Our Product

Value Proposition

What is it? Why does the world need it?

Screen time apps ask teenagers to resist their own phone using willpower — and our research shows that
doesn’t work. 43% of the 62 students we surveyed said it’s hard to stop once they start using their phone, and another 8% said it’s very hard. Study Quest is different because it removes the phone physically, then replaces the urge to check it with something more rewarding: a virtual assistant that levels up, visible streaks, and real rewards parents and teens set together. It’s the only solution that combines a physical barrier with a system teenagers actually want to engage with.
